HPV Self-Screening Initiative

Timeframe: Sep 2023 - March 2024

Problem:  Increasing HPV screening rates among eligible and recommended females in B.C.

Client: B.C. Cancer

Role: UX Researcher

Methods:

Deliverables:

  • User Personas & Journey Maps

  • New integration into an existing health app

  • Product Redesign for Self-Screening Launch

  • KPI Dashboard (User Acquisition, Lifetime Value, Cost Performance Index)

Stakeholder Engagement: Secured executive buy-in through a research backed approach to handling a sensitive topic, convincing the board with creative problem solving.

Impact: Established KPIs to measure program effectiveness, particularly Cost Performance Index (CPI). Successfully intervened at the right time to increase user engagement, leading to higher self-screening test orders.
